The website is dedicated to the sole use of property owners in the Hickory Woods Campground. It’s purpose is to enhance the ownership experiences by reaching out directly and understanding what is important to you. Everyone is encouraged to share your thoughts or ideas for making camping life better while staying at the campground. This may not be your cup of tea in the end, if you decide to join it or not. How can all of us make this a better place!
We have added many features to the website to help improve your experience in these areas:
- Transparency.
- Welcome the campground into the digital age! How nice would it be as current or new owner to go to one place for everything you want or need to know.
- Publishing rights (not unlike Facebook) for all members using the registration engine. All content blocked from public view, spam robot attacks and secured by different levels of access based on the information and need to know.
- Content filters for vulgar and offensive language often permitted in other social platforms.
- There are lots of things waiting on owner feedback in the wings as we decided to hold back until there is consensus on what is needed.
- Improve communication to/from the Members more consistently and timely.
- Increase thru volunteer participation by the Members, on what may be important to them.
- Platform for sharing and collaborating with each other giving the owners more than one voice to provide feedback into the governing process by the decision makers.
- Making the members aware of any ever changing last minute information and events.
- Share experiences good or bad you’ve had and where you’re willing to put in the time to make things better.
This will be an open forum for the members to share thoughts and ideas to rally membership support behind them. Many generations of campers have come and gone over the years as everyone has a different version of views and facts. This will be a judgement free zone as long as what is being shared is presented fairly and open to responses by all.
